We are calling for submissions to present at the conference. Submissions are welcome for abstract, full written paper, symposia, panel, workshop or poster presentations.

Equity and Ethics

What are the functions of universities and post-secondary institutions in teaching, training professionals, research and community service? Or Community engagement, social justice to society broadly?

How do universities and other post secondary institutions serve the common good and their communities - local, national, international?

How do universities contribute to the discussions about social responsibility, ethics and equity?

Equity and Social Responsibility

What does "social responsibility" mean in relation to post secondary education?

Equity and Increasing Diversity

How is the capacity of post secondary institutions to fulfil their functions affected affected by the equity and access of diverse students and staff?

What are the implications of a range of recent incentives (ed VSU, RQF, WorkChoices, HEWWRRS) and cultural/societal contextual factors (eg War on Terror) on the capacity on institutions to fulfil their functions, or on the representation of diverse students and staff?


 

Submission Guidelines  

Presentations for the conference will be accepted as either abstracts or papers

Please note that if you submit only an abstract by the 29th June 2007, acceptance is based on abstract only.  If you choose to submit a paper by the 29th June 2007, acceptance will be based on the paper submitted.

Abstracts of no more than 250 words, describing your presentation should be emailed by Friday 29th June 2007 (extended to Sunday 8th July 2007). Each abstract should include full contact details, including the speaker's brief bio, institution affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address; it is important to include also 3 keywords for allocating your paper in one of the conference streams. The organising committee will review abstracts and authors will be notified on Wednesday 1st August  2007 about the acceptance of their presentation submission.

Abstracts should be sent to the Conference Secretariat with the submission cover sheet
